“Jonny Blu here! I’m looking for one song for an upcoming project I’m working on and I need your help! I will choose among each of the suggestions and if I pick yours, you are the winner! Oh, and PLEASE read the Guidelines for details! Cheers!”

Goal:
Find and suggest to Jonny ONLY ONE Pop, Rock, RnB or Hip-Hop song from the last 5 years by any popular artist. If your selection is picked then you win!

Submission dates: July 7, 2011 to July 31, 2011

Guidelines:
- Pick one song that you can uniquely see Jonny singing within the realm of his style and genre of Swing/Smooth Pop/Jazz.
- Song lyrics should revolve aroundthe universal things like love, happiness, heartache, etc.
- Lyrics should be simple and timeless, without modern names or references
- Lyrics also should not be filled with extensive metaphors or innuendo
- Use your imagination and think outside of the box!

So, I just finished my last “Taboo!” concert of the summer at Tango Del Rey in San Diego last weekend and it was a blast! Now it’s time to get back to my other passion and get back in the studio to put together my next album!

I have some awesome new songs lined up, including some familiar standards and of course a bunch of original songs. If you were at one of my shows this summer you might have heard some of them? Well, my good buddy and songwriting partner, Bob Malone, and I are going to spend the next couple months polishing everything up and hopefully recording soon.

As you know I am an independent artist and my only Marketing/Publicity team is YOU! So, I am also going to be focused on building up my Email List over the next couple months. Facebook and Myspace are awesome, but I really want to have a less “public” and more personal connection with my fans and friends as well.I have already set up 2 ways of doing this and I’d really love for you to join me on one of these:
